Why You Always Feel Tight (Even After Stretching)
Week 1 of the Move Better Christmas Challenge is here!
Discover how to reset your body in 2 minutes a day.
If you’re constantly stretching the same muscles but never feel looser, you’re not alone.
Most people assume tightness = short muscles. In reality, your body often creates tension to protect areas that feel unstable or overworked.
Think of it as your nervous system saying, “Hang on, I don’t feel safe here.” Stretching might help for a moment, but it doesn’t address the real issue: lack of control and strength in your available range.
That’s why mobility training, strength through range, is key. It tells your body, “Hey, we’ve got this,” and it gradually releases that tension for good.
Try the Daily Reset stretches that have been shared on this video and feel your spine and hips open up without forcing anything.
How often?
As many times as you want, especially when you feel tight or locked up.
Everyone’s body feels this differently, so don’t worry about a “perfect” range. Just keep breathing into what feels comfortable.
How many reps?
Move slow enough to actually notice what’s happening.
If you want numbers: up to 10 reps of each drill, once a day is plenty.
